Black Youth! Pathway 2 Industry (BYP2I) is a three-year, industry-led initiative supported by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Social Services.
The program's goal is to support Black youth in the digital media, film and television industry by providing mentoring and networking opportunities as well as on-site training with film department heads.
Participants must be between 18 to 26 years, living in the GTA and have graduated from a film, video or media arts program and demonstrate a serious interest in pursuing a career in the sector.
Program partners include OYA Media Group, Mattru Media, TIFF, VTAPE, NABET, Toronto Public Library, Regent Park Film Festival, Live it to Learn it, Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto, Toronto Black Film Festival, Charles Street Video, and Trinity Square Video.
